Thematic Research: Landscape & Ecology
For this project individual members of design teams were required to focus on researching a specific thematic issue out of three choices: ecology & landscape, mobility or affordability. The purpose of this thematic research exercise was to provide the group with a toolkit for design based on a critical analysis of precedents. For the toolkit to be useful, the case study analysis needed to include transferable concepts and measured drawings to scale to inform the group of how these can translate into spatial design strategies. My thematic research focused on Landscape and Ecology and answering the research question: How can landscape and ecology design support social inclusion and wellbeing within a global city to improve quality of life for all?
