Blackbird Leys, Oxford

For our first project, the task was to create a vision for the re-development of a site located in Blackbird Leys, Oxford. The place suffered from neglect and high levels of vehicle traffic. The initial phase of the project required us to conduct a theoretical analysis that focused on defining a "good place", carrying out a site appraisal with a SWOT analysis and developing our graphic skills. After this, we were put in groups to come up with a vision for the site The project allowed us to develop skills useful to conduct future projects in this module and gave us the opportunity to learn about the nature of urban design.
