Conceptual design intervention done as part of a morphology course that focused on the use of section in the analysis process. The design responded to the needs of Platform K, a community shared space in Horsens. Analysis focused on exploring the variety of materials spotted on site and in its surroundings, and assessing the perceived character of the place. The council expressed a desire to expand the operations of Platform K for the benefit of the community and introduce a music venue that could hold attractive events for an audience of approx. 800 people. The design intervention proposes a semi-permanent music venue building that replicates and adds to the character of Platform K. The new design also highlights the connection between the new and the existing building by the use of landscape, form and meterials.
